How the calculation works
When a pump station loses power or a pump fails, inflow keeps arriving. Whatever the wet well and incoming sewer cannot hold overflows. The calculator multiplies the inflow by the length of the outage and takes off any storage already available.
Mullaly fibreglass emergency storage tanks hold that inflow until the station runs again, from 5,000L to 150,000L each. They are covered with Mullaly pump stations by WSAA Product Appraisal PA 1020.
