Background
Ramingining is an Aboriginal community on the edge of the Arafura Swamp in Arnhem Land, Northern Territory.
Challenge
The community is remote, so a one-piece pump station with a long life was important. Low maintenance was key because it is hard to get labour to the site.
What we supplied
An FRP pump station with all internal pipework and fittings in place. The contractor only had to drop it into position.
20 years later
The pump station was inspected more than 20 years after installation. Photos from inside show smooth, clean surfaces and stainless steel fittings in near perfect condition.
