Background
Construction of the Sino Iron mine employed 4,000 people at its peak. They needed an accommodation village with a new sewage system.
Challenge
The site is remote, with limited ready-mix concrete and skilled labour. The more that could be made off site, the better.
What we supplied
Two 3m x 5m deep wet well and valve pit combos with 100mm discharge Homa pumps. They arrived fully fitted out, so only the external pipework, electrical work and final pump installation were done on site.
Result
Installation took under one week, compared with more than six weeks for in-situ concrete. That meant less labour, less crane time and a safer site.
